Company Background - continued productivity and service. Fortune Associates has a unique commission split with its salespeople that gives them a significant financial reward for each sale, encouraging maximum productivity. In addition to financial incentives for increased productivity, Fortune Associates has developed a support network among the sales force that encourages everyone to reach their maximum potential. Encouraging the concept that “we are all in this together” has been effective, as agents know their co-workers are always available to help with a problem and not “steal” a deal. We are proud that there are no locked desks at Fortune Associates. As far as quality, our agents have, as their ultimate goal in each transaction - not the commission, but treating the client so well that the client will return to us the next time he or she needs help with a real estate problem. We treat our employees as family. Our reputation for fostering good relationships with associates and employees has served us well, as many of the top salespeople from nationally known real estate brokerages have come on board with Fortune Associates, and more are sure to follow their lead. With a 35-year history of community involvement, Fortune Associates encourages its staff to participate any way they can in the betterment of Fresno. We are proud to live in Fresno, and want Fresno to succeed. Many of the associates are involved in their children’s schools, participating in the various sports foundations and parent-teacher associations. Associates are, or have served on the Boards of a number of charitable organizations including Infant of Prague, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Rotary International, Valley Children’s Hospital Guilds, Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau. The owner, Larry Fortune, has been active in the community for more than 20 years. He currently serves as the Public Member of the Fresno County Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO).
