Larry Fortune is President of FORTUNE ASSOCIATES. Born and raised in Fresno he graduated from Stanford University in 1970. In 1974, after working for the Bank of California in San Francisco for several years, he came back to Fresno and began his career in an office opened by his father in 1965. He is a past president of the Fresno Association of REALTORS® and a director of both the California and National Associations of REALTORS®. He graduated from the REALTORS® INSTITUTE (GRI) in 1981 and was named the Fresno Association of REALTORS® “REALTOR® OF THE YEAR” in 1986.

Mr. Fortune currently serves Chairman of the Fresno County Workforce Investment Board, the Board of Trustees of the Center for Advanced Research and Technology (C.A.R.T. School), a City of Fresno Redevelopment Agency Project Area Committee and the   Fresno   County   Sheriff’s   Foundation  for  Public
Safety Citizens Advisory Committee, Fresno County Indian Gaming Local Community Benefit Committee, Fig Garden Police Protection District Board and the Fresno Region Stanford Club. He as also served on the Boards of the Better Business Bureau, Central California Blood Center, Fresno County Community Housing Leadership Board, Fresno Athletic Hall of Fame, Fresno Police Activities League, Fresno Volleyball Club, California Partnership for the San Joaquin Valley and Tree Fresno.

Mr. Fortune has been appointed a receiver by the Fresno County Superior Court and a Chapter XI Trustee by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of California. He has qualified and testified as an expert witness on real estate brokerage standards of practice in the civil courts of Fresno, Madera, Kern and Santa Clara Counties and the criminal courts of Fresno County and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of California. He as acted as a court appointed mediator in Fresno and Monterey Counties.

He has been married for 28 years and has two children.
